Vista still seems stubborn when trying to open peg thru a web link. Changed IE settings (Peg finally does appear in the settings) and outlook no longer opens, but Peg just displays the logo/icon for a split second and closes.

Just a guess -- did you specify  winpm-32.exe or wsendto.exe as the program to open a mailto: URL?  It should be wsendto.exe.

The never ending story: Goto the download area and follow the instructions.

Well, yeah. That's the first place anyone would look. Did get it working but seems there's more than one place in IE you have to set it. Just choosing peg, now that it shows up as an option, isn't all that has to be set.

As far as firefox... no clue where to set that.

It uses the same settings, if you didn't change anything in the past it should work as well - maybe a restart is required. If it doesn't, go to the Applications page of its Settings dialog (may have different names, this is translated from the German version) and search for the mailto entry which should offer you Pegasus Mail resp. WSendTo as an option.

Try Tools:Options:Applications:mailto   If you've done everything else correctly, you should see "Peagasus Mail WSENDTO Utility" as a dropdown option.
