I also am trying to copy backed-up files to a new installation. In my case, it is from a former, but recent, version of Pegasus on Vista x32 to a new installation of Pegasus (version 4.52) on Windows 7 x64.
I carefully followed the 5 steps listed above in this thread, except for step 2 because I am copying files from a backup, so I looked at my old directory structure.
But, when I run Pegasus, I just see the several new messages and folders as if for a fresh installation.
In case it is useful, my PMAIL7 directory tree is described below:
>PMAIL7
>MAIL 1,485 items, 150,000 KB
>ADMIN 25 items, 87 KB
>RmtFiles empty
>RmtFiles empty
>Searches 1 item, 1 KB
>Programs 99 items, 19,000 KB
>DEFAULTS 12 items, 33 KB
>RESOURCE 18 items, 787 KB
My oldest email message files are from April of 2002 - I am a long-time user and fan of Pegasus, and have gone through several versions of Windows while using Pegasus.
Your help is appreciated!
