Would have to disagree with  the first item:

What version of Windows? Each has a different file format and fields, would be problematic to say the least.

Malware havesting of your addressbook (bad thing)

As for items 2 and 3 IIRC David is already working on the next level of both the addressbook and low level (fileformat/index) of the mailstore.

I had a few thoughts about address books and pmail, and thought I'd share my list as an RFE:

1. Allow pmail to use an external windows address book. This could be outlook, Windows address book, or some other windows "default" address book.

2. Update address book to show more fields, instead of just name, key and phone number. I'm thinking of a more expansive address book, where columns can be chosen.

3. Some kind of rework of address book--not sure how or what, but it is the one part of pmail that I find too limited to use as my primary contact manager.
