I would (and do) use either Spamhalter or POPFileD Bayesian classifiers to handle the spam coming into Mercury.  I move the spam off to a spam user account and then check it daily to make sure there were no false positives.  I also use Greywall with MercuryS to block hosts that do not retry when given a 400 series temporary error.

Currently using POPFileD I keep 99.87% of the spam out of the user accounts with a false positive rate of 0.08%.

Thanks Thomas.

I SpamHalter and that does keep the same at bay..

I was thinking of using spamassassin to filter email to specific folders based on to, from, headers and subjects..
Would that work ? any other way to do it ?

The current MailStore does not allow filtering to users mail folders other then their new mail folder.  You can setup separate spam account for each user, say thomas has thomas_spam and then they can connect to this spam folder via IMAP4 to check their spam.

Of course the users can setup new mail filters in their e-mail systems to do the filtering on opening their new mail.
