We are all a "little" older.  Hey when we passed 70 all things are a bit more difficult.  ;-)

PMail.ini file did not get transferred or is marked read-only.

Ok, it you are not using identities then you can use the new pmail.ini file that has been created.

Sure sounds like a read-only file in either the data or index file.  Pegasus Mail can't use read-only files.

Prior to 4.52 or maybe 4.51 I could restore my email after a ghost image restore by simply copying pmail to an external drive,

restoreing the HD and copying the pmail folder back. This no longer works. It was simple and kept out of big trouble with the wife.

Is there a simple solution with 4.52?  Thanks

If the drive letter of the volume holding the PMAIL files has changed under the new installation, that would cause a problem.

Still works for me on WinXP; does not work for me on Win7 if the program is installed in c:\Program Files.  What OS are you using?

Thomas,

I was hoping you would respond, you've been very helpful in the past.

It's XP. Pegasus is installed in the C drive in a "PMAIL" folder, that's the way it's installed on all my systems and it has worked fine in the past.

I am a little older so I may have messed something up. I repeated the process and it still messed up.

The results are, all the settings are gone and the  pop3 and smtp settings are reset.

I can select add and the definitions are there.

Also, my spam folder is corrupted, can't be reindexed and I can't delete it.

The settings aren't really a problem since they can easily be fixed.
