Having a problem with a locked mailbox as others have and have tried to utilize all suggestions given... such as the one below
but with the one below just exactly where do I find the new mail directory if I can't see it. When I open the mail folder the folder appears saying "the mailbox tou are attempting to access to be locked by another process." when I hit continue (as I know nobody else is using) I get a different box which states "Pegasus Mail for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." it gives me 2 other boxes on the left it says DEBUG (which if hit just exits the screen and the other says CLOSE which obviously does the same thing/
also mentioned is Error signature with the following
AppName: winpm-32.exe AppVer: 4.5.2.0 ModName: winpm-32.exe
ModVer: 4.5.2.0 Offset: 0018b976
As mentioned where do I find the new mail directory if it never shows?
Move all of the *.CNM files out of the new mail directory and try
again. It should now open normally. You can then put the messages back
one at a time until you find the problem message.
It's probaby
going to be a really large message. If you are using content control
then I'd recommend that you set a limit on the message size so you are
not scanning these large files with encoded attachments.
1.
Use Tools | Spam and content controls | Content control...
2.
Select and edit the control definition
3. Select the "Message
tests" tab.
4. Enter 8000 in "Check at most this many bytes
in each message"
