Hello,

Pegasus mail on my PC has acquired a graphical bug (see how the "Move" button is displayed on the referenced screenshot).

Can it be mended without reinstalling?

Thank you in advance,

Have you tried switching between preview mode and list mode? And between displaying Text only, Graphics only and Graphics & text?

Cheers!
Steffan

Sorry to hear that. It was just a shot in the dark, but I thought it was worth trying. What version of Pmail are you running and which version of Windows?

Thanks for sympathy, Steffan.

My OS is WinXP SP2, and I am using PMail 4.51.

1. Use Help | About Pegasus Mail | Info and not the home mail directory.

2. Exit WinPMail and go to your HOME mail directory.

3. Open the file state.pmj with notepad for editing. Go to the [General] section and delete the lines starting V4FP=

then save and exit.

You'll get the defaults when you restart WinPMail.

Or try this one:

[General]

V4FP=36,-2,744,465,"0"

V4FP-1=0,46,268,440

V4FP-2=271,46,700,254,"100,152,94,0,34"

V4FP-3=271,286,700,440

FClassic=188,12,615,620,"0"

Preferences=401,53,595,439

Hello,

Pegasus mail on my PC has acquired a graphical bug (see how the "Move" button is displayed on the referenced screenshot).

Can it be mended without reinstalling?[/quote]

Open the file STATE.PMJ (after closing Pegasus Mail) in your mailbox directory (see Help => About Pegasus Mail => Info screen for it's path), search for the [General] section and delete the entries preceded with V4FP: This should reset the preview window to it's defaults after a restart.

BTW: You can attach images to forum posts via Options page (unfortunately at the top of the editor) ... (sorry, not quite correct: There's a button for adding image links on the editor's toolbar).

PS: Sorry for posting too late, I checked before starting the reply ...

Sorry for my useless suggestions. I should've known about Peggy's and Michael's suggestions, as this problem has been reported in this forum before.

Cheers!
