Hi,
I am using pmail 4.52 on Windows 7 x64 and it has started freezing the whole system when I try to send emails with attachments (so I have no choice each time but to hit reset and wait a few hours for the RAID array to verify). Emails without attachments (including RTF) work fine.
It started a few days ago - someone emailed me a corrupt word doc to fix and email back. When I tried to email it back the system froze and since then every time I try to send any attachment it freezes. Since the whole system freezes, there are no error logs to look at. Looking at the smtp server logs, pmail issues EHLO, MAIL FROM, RCPT TO and even DATA and then is not heard from again.
I ran the 4.52 installer again and chose upgrade in case it needed to replace some system files, that didn't work. I made sure there were no corrupted queued messages anywhere (*.pmw or *.pmx), but without any errors to look at, I don't know what my next step is. I've been using pmail for about 15 years, so my mailbox is a bit bloated, but apart from this is had previously been working perfectly. This is my pmail info in case it helps:

PMR variable: (None)
PML variable: (None)
MAI variable: (None)
NB variable: (None)

Last new mail count: 304
Can anyone help me? Please? At the moment I am using a webmail account to send attachments, it's quite annoying!
Thank you!
Misha.
