It's New Year's Day January 1, 2014 and I woke up with the same mystery "bad omen."  Thank you so much for the great help. Now my "bad omen" is vanquished.. Yay!

I somehow got a message in my outbox (when I go File> ReviewQueuedMail), and I can't send it, and I can't delete it.  It causes me problems (when I do a send/receive it tries to send but can't, when I go to exit Pegasus, it warns me about unsent, etc).  I tried opening it by double-clicking, then fill out with a valid email, etc, but then a NEW one comes up, so I'm still left with the orphan that won't go away.  I don't know what folder that would be to re-index, etc. HELP! (THANKS)

Would a re-index help? (if so how (what folder, etc))?

1.  Use Help | About Pegasus Mail | Info to locate the HOME mail
    directory.

2.  Use File Manager or Explorer and go to this directory and
    delete the zero length PMO, PMX and PMW files.
