Forwarding mail previous message cut off

Get the latest Pegasus Mail version, and - if having IE 9 installed - immediately update IERenderer after setting up the new version.

When I forward mail in Pegasus, the original message I am forwarding is cut off and incomplete. I am forwarding with the "Edit or Make Changes" option. Any idea why I'm having this problem?

Thank you for the wonderful program.

Is the message text or html? If HTML there could be a problem with the length of a single line (paragraph formatted as one long line) which is approx 1000 characters.  When Pegasus edits the message it may cut off at the boundary.

Could this be what you are seeing?

Thank you for the help. I'm not sure how to tell if the message is html or plain text. In any event, when I attempt to forward the message, part of the message is fine but then it's cut off and the last sections are missing in the forwarded message. the message stops in the middle of a paragraph.

Your help is appreciated.

Mike.

Look at the raw view of the message.  If it's HTML it will be readily apparent.

Sure sounds like this is a one-line message that goes beyond the line limits. Try using either the wrap or reformat options in the  forwarding menu to see if this fixes the problem message.

It looks like the message is in html. I've tried using the wrap and format options in the forwarding message but neither helps.

I can make-do by copying and pasting into a new message but that doesn't really get rid of the problem. This only seems to happen occasionally so I'll just live with it.

Perhaps you could try and see what happens if you select the body of the message you want to reply to, hit the reply button and then click Selected portion. This often works for me, though not always. That said, I can barely recall ever having been unable to wrap or reformat the lines of the original message one way or another, but it may take trying a few options.

Cheers!

I have used a small helper application for those tough jobs: Text Monkey Lite. Can be found here
