This zero byte file is causing Spamhalter to crash and the OS also takes down Pegasus Mail.  You need to upgrade Spamhalter.

I am using Pegasus version 4.52 on a single compluter no network and am running Windows 7.
On starting up Pegasus it says "Mailbox is locked" and as there is only 1 computer- I click "Continue"
When it says on the opening splash screen "Opening New folder"  I get an error message "Paeasus Mail for windows has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I then have to click "Close Program"
I have tried downloading a new version and installing it but the problem remains.
I have looked at emails online and there are none waiting to be downloaded.
Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Hello A West,

Take a look in the folder named 'mail'; there will be a file with extension of .lck (lock) that when Pegasus Mail is closed can be deleted.

deleted that file. I bypass the "Mailbox is locked" screen but the program still stops with the messages as before
