Create a folder with a name you do like. Then select all the messages in the folder named in a wrong way, then Move the content from this old folder to the new created folder. Once all content is transfered over, just delete the old folder.

I'm trying to import my existing Thunderbird Email tree.  I've used an Export tool to export all the TBird email to a tree of directories in mailbox format.

I've found that the individual mailbox files are required to have .mbx as their extension.  That is a relatively easy fix.

What I do NOT like is that it then uses the full file name (with .mbx) as the displayed name of the mailbox.  Is there a setting to prevent that?

It ALSO creates a "new mail folder" in that mailbox, which is completely unneeded.

So, no way to get rid of un-needed folders?

No way to have it display names meant for humans rather than machines?  Seems kind of odd since the Pegasus created email folders don't have their file name extensions displayed.
