Mercury works with any reasonably standards compliant email client, including Outlook and Thunderbird. For most uses the default settings in Mercury are OK. You will need to enter the information that you are prompted for during installation, of course. Pay special attention to getting the local domains settings right.

I want to be able to send emails with Mercury and test my programs mainly php form processing through email. I have Microsoft office outlook should I use that to send the emails to or should I use Thunderbird with Mercury. I really would like to just send them to my one gmail account. I guess the biggest thing I need is to find the best tutorial on configuring Mercury mail. Thanks in advance.
