Just downloaded the SpamHalter update . . .

YES, my signature holds the version of my copy of Pegasus Mail plus the e-mail I received about the "Spamhalter zero byte" download fix was from Pegasus er you I think.  The FreeImage.Dll file was from my latest copy of the latest version of Pegasus on another computer.  The e-mail received is as follows:

"idw has left the following comment regarding the file SpamHalter for PMail 1.1.0.160:

Most recent version fixes the "Zero byte CNM file crash, see URL above.

The file, FreeImage.dll, is size: 1892kbps, dated: 11/19/2007 10:10 PM v3.10.0.0 as found in Details Tab of Properties after right clicking on the .dll file.  Did not really understand what that is all about so I downloaded this fix and received a very surprised fix.  Being a little resourceful I immediately went looking for a solution and discovered that file seemed to be my required fix.  By moving it to my other computer all is well again.  The .dll file in the download is, 'size 1068kb, Dated: 2/11/2007 3:51 PM v3,9,3,0 also found using the same method.

Thank you for the information, please accept my apologies for not giving any of the details you have asked for, until now.  Have several other computers I am presently working on and have not been in here very much.

Greetings again from LeonSprings, Texas USofA,

Just posted a problem with one of my computers and now have a problem with this one.  Just received a message about the SpamHalter problem solved, it has created another one.  Now I cannot open my Pegasus Mail program on this computer because of this supposedly problem correction download.  My PM now gives an ERROR window with the following message:

"winpm-32.exe - Entry Pint Not Found
The procedure entry point _FreeImage_PreMultiplyWithAlpha@4 could not be located in the dynamic link library FreeImage.dll."

Any HELP would be nice,

Because of the error message I went to my desktop and downloaded the original file "FreeImage.dll" and replaced the one in my laptop and solved that issue, in the above message.

Thank you for posting my original message so I may post this solution to my own issue,

Can you please be a little more specific:

  1. What Pegasus Mail version are you talking about?
  2. I assume you downloaded the Spamhalter zero byte crash fix version?
  3. Where did you get the FreeImage library from?

The point is to learn which version of Spamhalter needs what version of FreeImage.dll so we can add a respective hint and download link to the proper download page.
