IMAP in Netware mode?

Thank you Thomas. I tried it with Pegasus as the IMAP client, and it worked immediately. Now I'll have to start tweaking with SSL etc, but the basics work.

PS: Even SLL and configuring my cellphone was easy.

In our company, we are using Mercury/32 in Netware mode, with Pegasus as the only client.
I would like to add IMAP support, for access with mobile devices.

Is it possible to combine the two, that is, with most users accessing their mail directly on the Netware volume, and some through IMAP?

If so, how should I set it up?

Any help is appreciated.

Bart

No problem, just turn on the MercuryI protocol and re-boot Mercury.  The users will make the IMAP4 connection using their Netware username and password.

Yes, except that you cannot do both at once for any user.  You cannot make a IMAP4 connection to a user account where PMail is running in the direct mode.  Also you should know that many of the IMAP4 implementations in the mobile devices are pretty bad.  The users may or may not have to change their IMAP4 client for one that runs IAW the RFC.  In addition, if you turn on the SSL/TLS this will add a level of complexity to the connection.
