When the browser is already open - no problem, the link opens up in a new page.
But if the browser is not open, it starts the browser but does not load the link. It has to be right clicked a second time.
Versions: Pegasus 4.52
Opera 10.60
Any particular reason? I haven't gone to the trouble to see if the same thing happens with Explorer

Did you try both options on Tools => Options => Hyperlinks (i.e. Find browser automatically and Web Browser commandline)? They work differently under certain circumstances ...

I somehow get the feeling that I wrote my reply for nothing: Did anyone bother trying my suggestion, maybe? And if it doesn't help would you be so kind as to tell, please (I'm using Opera as my default browser and don't see this issue, just in case you wonder)? And for the details: Does this apply to links in plain text or formatted (HTML) messages?

no difference in HTML or plain txt (the only difference there is single vs double click)
I am currently not able to test yr suggestion, will do this later. (never saw this as a problem, on the rare occasion I do not have a browser open all I have to do is click the hyperlink again)

OK, first test: setting is "find browser automatically" and an HTML message: Opera starts, but link is not opened; second click (with Opera active) and link is opened.
so, it appears that this setting only affects the plain text messages?
Well, as far as I understand your postings plain text links always work fine while HTML links only work properly with the Web browser commandline option?
