Whenever I try to check an IMAP folder with more that around 100 messages in it, 4.52 crashes.  I see the counter in the status bar going through its routine buit after ir gets to some number between 40 and 80, it disappears.  Pegasus does not become completely unresponsive, I can click on other folders and they highlight but nothing happens, the other folder, POP or IMAP, doesn't come up.  Then the status bar indicates "IMAP: Closing connection to mail.domain.com".  That's when the dreaded "This program had a problem..." box comes up.

I've had this problem for weeks, so it's not a new update. Needless-to-say, I've fiddled with the IMAP settings for the accounts pretty extensively but can't seem to hit anything that works. 

Can anyone suggest anything?

Using my MiniDump extension might help us getting some clues.

Try increasing the IMAP4 setup timeout to around 100-120 seconds.

I've had it up to 300 sec.  The entire process, check folder to crash, doesn't take 90 secs.

I'll give it a go.

Well, (un)fortunately it's an empty archive, at least that's what I can download. There should have been an autosaved message to be sent to the given beta-reports address. I can retrieve these reports from this account and take a look at them, there's no need to post them here (they may contain private data and details about your machine).

I re-crashed Pegasus on Friday and sent it to the address.  I don't suppose you've had a chance to look it over?

Your most recent crash dump doesn't show anything useful, the other one does (although not enough for suggesting a solution), I'll get back to you personally.
