Winpm/32 opens then crashes

Check to see if any of the new message files in your mailbox folder are 0 (zero) length.  If so delete them and try again.  Zero length new mail files can cause the problem you are describing.

My problem started today when I downloaded new messages.  I clicked on one and got the 'encountered an error & must close" message.  I removed the Mailbox.lck file and tried again.

This time Pmail crashed on opening.  I removed Mailbox.lck and one by one went through the message files *.cnm dated today, removing them, and then seeing if PMail would work.  Only after I removed all of them could I open Pmail.  Then a new problem appeared.

I couldn't do much with the program.  It did a silent crash (no error messages, just no response) to trying to write new mails, read mails, or forward an existing mail.  I could change folders, and I could tweak my mail download settings.  But that's all.

I've downloaded a fresh copy and tried a re-install.  no change.

I could put it in a new folder, but I don't want to lose access to my saved mail and addresses and things.  ANy suggestions? Help!

This is the second time I've tried to post about this, the first apparently didn't go through.  At least, I don't see it in the forum listings.  Sorry if it does duplicate.

Are there any mails in the outgoing mailqueue (don't no how this menue is called in englisch version)? Have a look at your mailbox-directory for files with extension PMO, PMX, PMW, PNX and move them to another directory. Open Pegasus again and have a test.

Greetings
