Install a copy of DOSBox, this works for 64 bit windows and Linux to run 16 bit DOS  programs.

When I installed PMail on my Win XP desktop computer, setup designated PMail\Mail\Admin as the newmail folder.  On my Win 7 laptop, the newmail folder is PMail\Mail.  I want to change the location of newmail on one of the computers to match the other, so that I can more easily synchronize messages on the two computers.  I don't see an option within PMail that would allow me to manually change the folder location.  I've tried changing the location in the Windows registry on both computers, but the change doesn't stick.

How can I change the location of the newmail folder on either of the two computers?

 Thanks,

Terry

You tried changing the mailbox location in the Windows registry? I wonder how...

Anyway, you can do this as follows: Tools | Options | General settings | Mailbox location. Make sure you read the instructions carefully.

Cheers!

This won't work for new mail, only for everything else. For changing the new mail folder you may need to use PCONFIG.EXE which only runs on 32-bit Windows versions AFAIK.

For Steffan: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Pegasus Mail\Newmail

For Michael: Thanks.  The work-around I stumbled onto last night was to install version 4.51 on my laptop, which made PMAIL\MAIL\ADMIN my new mail folder, then update to 4.52.  Running the full 4.52 installer made it PMAIL\MAIL.  Next time I'll go the pconfig route.
