Can you forward such a message to idw.doc[at]t-online.de?

Hi

Hope someone can point me in the direction to solve a problem which has arisen. Using Pegasus Mail 4.51 since it's release, updating from previous versions since 1999, running under WinXP.

Problem.

Download to new mail folder, message can be viewed fine in the preview window and when opened. Move message to another folder and sometimes the message becomes corrupt showing from ??? to ??? and all the header is shown in the preview pane and when opened. Now if the message hasn't become corrupt and I move it to another folder then it will become corrupt.

This happens to perhaps one in 5 messages.

Folders have all been checked and  most re-indexed.

Thanks

I'm not sure whether they get corrupted, but the issue with displaying question marks is usually caused by some charsets which Pegasus Mail may not display correctly depending on the storing location of the message: While Pegasus Mail scans the message itself when displaying it from the new mail folder it displays cached headers (from the folder index file) when displaying it from an ordinary folder - but this should not have any effect on the actual message data, i.e. moving the message back to the new mail folder should display it properly again. Do these message contain Asian, Cyrillic or any other non-Western characters?

Thanks Michael

No, there are no non western characters. Happens with just a plain straight forward plain text emails and more complex html. If I move the message back to New Mail folder it is the same except the from name becomes "unknown"

Have several New Mail open filters and just noticed mails moved with the filter are also affected.
