I have installed Mercury 4.71 as part of XAMPP.
When I start up Mercury, ports 25:SMTP, 79:FINGER, 80:HTTP, 105:PH, 106:TSMUX???, 110:POP3, 143:IMAP are all opened.(as shown by sysinternals TCPview)
But ports 25, 79, 106, 110 close real quick, leaving only ports 80, 106, and 80 listening.
My Server has two IP addresses - 192.168.2.100 & 192.168.3.100
I only want the server to listen and talk on 192.168.2.100
I have turned off Windows Filewall and have administrated my hardware firewall such that all the above ports are open and directed only to 192.168.2.100
Why are ports 25, 79, 106, 110 being shut down? Is it a configuration problem or an OS problem?
I have configued the Mercury IMAP, POP3, HTTP, and SMTP servers all the same way - with 192.168.2.100 Allow in the Connection Control list and in the General:IP Interface.
The HTTP port stays open and works but the others are not being listened to.
Thanks for any help you can give,
Doug
