<p>I've been experiencing hangs of Pegasus Mail during folder open filtering and have identified the cause.  The hangs occur when the filter attempts to process messages that contain extremely long subject lines.  Of the three .cnm files I identified as problems two had subject lines of 6578 characters and the other of 8173 characters. </p><p>The filtering works fine once the problem .cnm file is removed from the folder or the .cnm file has been edited to reduce the length of the subject line. </p><p>The filtering rule set contains about 40 header and expression rules.</p><p>Note:  The folder-open filter is associated with the SPAM users mailbox which has been added to my folder list. </p><p> -- Brian Fluet</p>
