This is partly due to the format of the message store.

A new version of the store is in the pipe-line, and hopefully these sorts of problems will be history.

I note from the help manual that the subject field length can be up to 128 characters long.

I get 128 characters in the bottom half of the split screen mesage viewer, but in the top half the subject is truncated to a variable length, and in the folders where I file the mail, again to another variable, perhaps longer (i.e. partially de-truncated) length.  It's not a major problem, but a nuisance.  The column widths are adequate.  Same with the address field sometimes etc.

Is there a cure, if not, a reason ?I
