Text partially disappears from the thread when forwarding or replying - sometimes!

This issue was actually the main reason for getting 4.61 out in it's premature state (some rough UI edges).

Hi all,

When replying to, or forwarding a message which itself is a part of a thread, the earlier thread is often - but not always - truncated. If its a "forwarded" message thats truncated, a curt little message announces ----end of forwarded message----, but nothing so civilised appears on an terminated "reply"; the balance of the text just disappears!

This anomaly doesn't seem to be consistent; the error will repeat consistently on the affected threads, but not all forwards or replies exhibit the problem. However, when text does disappear, it happens at the same place, irrespective of whether the message is a forward or a reply.

So far, I haven't been able to detect any pattern to alert in advance which messages are likely to do this disappearing trick on me?

Any ideas? Suggestions or solutions would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

JohnnyK

HTML messages containing overlong lines ... most probably. If preferring to write plain/text messages select all text prior to replying and choose selected portion for quoting. When forwarding messages you can only avoid truncation by either bouncing or attaching the forwarded message.

Thanks, that works for the most recent problem message, and I hope it will for others going forward. Thanks for the swift solution.

Cheers

I'm using Pegasus 4.51 and am getting exactly the same problem when replying to any mail with more than 100 characters or so in the original message section - it just stops mid sentence or even mid word.
