Extended Simple Mail Transfer Protocol   It's the standard for many of the extensions used by most SMTP hosts nowadays. This header in the ESMTP host response says it required the use of the authorization.

I am trying to set up my wife's work e-mail [Pegasus 4.41] and She can Receive Messages but not send- Here is the  error message received:

This is a good SMTP server, I can connect to ports 25 and 587 via telnet.  Try changing the port number from 25 to 587 since your ISP may be blocking port 25 outbound. Make sure you use the ESMTP authorization.
