Help! I Upgraded- No asking me for User name that never existed!
Unfortunately the problem with my Main Folder persists.
First of all create a backup of the folder file (its name and location can be retrieved by right clicking the folder and selecting Folder information), then right-click the folder in Pegasus Mail and select Reindex folder (among other things this may bring back deleted messages and reset flags such as Read, Replied, Forwarded etc.).

I have been having issues with emails in my main mailbox being scrambled. When I click on the first twenty or so emails in this mailbox they would not be the actual emails - they seemingly had linked to some other random email in Pegasus. Essentially my newer emails were lost. So I decided it was time to upgrade.

I just upgraded my Windows 98 version of Pegasus with the 4.5 version. Now, when I click to open the program it is asking me for a Username. I haven't been using a Username so I have no idea how to get into the program now...it won't let me in. I've tried "admin" and hat does not work. The program contains all my email contacts so I desperately need to get back into it...soon. Can anyone please help me around this? I seem to remember that many years ago (maybe 6?) I may have had a version on this computer that started with a Username but I have no idea what that name was.

Thanks. Solved the Username thing by doing a new install and copying the old files in.Now it doesn't ask for a Username.

Unfortunately the problem with my Main Folder persists. Anything that goes in there is forever lost, since when I click on it the email it shows is not the email it should show. I have no clue what email it is pointing to...or where the proper one may now exist under a new name. I emptied the Main Folder of all emails this morning and distributed them to new folders because I thought that maybe there were too many messages in that Main folder. But now, with only a few messages, the problem continues. Any clues?
