Using v.4,52(Win32) on Win XP

When I access the POP3 definitions under Tools / Internet Mail Options, the Edit function causes a critical error (application closes).  The relevant .PND files seem fine.  This happens to any POP3 config (I have several) that are edited.

On searching the archives under "pop3 edit crash" I could only find one other thread which suggested that anti-virus progs may be involved.  Disabled NOD but that had no effect. There was no conclusion post on that thread.

Presumably, as it started at the same time, there is a connected issue with saved messages not showing their titles in the "Draft Manager" list.
Any suggestions please.?

Two things to check first. Check properties/attributes on the *.pnd files in your home maiil box location. Make sure they are not read only.

Second with winpm-32 closed rename state.pmj file to state.pmj.bak and restart winpm-32. This will cause a reset to default values. Retest wourt draft messages folder and then also see if you can now acess the settings in tools, internet options and edit them. If all works then you may proceed to resize items accoding to your preferences. Close wipm-32 and reopen to make sure everything works and looks proper. 

There is a setting within tools menu to save desktop so also check that item if your settings don't stick.

The .pnd files are all attribute (A)rchive.  In fact there are no files at all in the home mailbox folder that are Read-Only.

Renamed the state.pmj file and, other than for the resizings, it made no difference either.

There may be a clue in that the error with the editing POP definitions seems to have occurred at the same time as the draft messages stopped showing titles on new saved messages.

Can you provide a crash dump using my MiniDump extension? Please read its ReadMe file for the various options it provides, you may need to run it in "stand-alone" mode.

Thanks for that   -   a fairly painless exercise.

The dump file is attached.  I had to rename it to .pdf to comply with the Forum's file extension requirements.
