As far as I know, you can control this in Tools | Options | Message formatting. However, I do believe that the broken line ends are on the recipient's end rather than yours. I regularly have to hit F5 or Ctrl+F5 to to be able to read a message properly, depending on its source (email client, web mail, etc.). I have no idea how this works in other email clients. What email clients do the people you send mail to use? Do they all use the same email client or different ones?
