Thanks to Thomas, I can now receive mail! 

It turned out to be Avast anti-virus blocking the sending of the email, probably/possibly changed in an automatic update!

The last place I would think to look!

Using Pegasus Ver 4.51 Windows XP sr2.

I can send, but no longer receive email.

 Last week I attempted to add 2 new addresses. One is a new username with the same provider, the other is a gmail address.

this was unsuccessful, so I deleted both of these new addresses.

then my original email address would no longer retrieve my email.

after attempting many different things, 

used the log, which returned

backed up pegasus and did a fresh install

still cant retrieve mail. log gives:

At a loss as cause of these errors and what to look at next. Would prefer to return to my backup set with all my settings.

and yes - I have googled and searched and read this forum!

Looks like this server is down.  I tried telneting into port 110 these server names and IP addresses  and got no answer.  FWIW, the name mail.myisp.on.net does not resolve in my system.  Send me a message at techsupp@tstephenson.com and I'll give you a server where you can test your system.
