PMail crashed during SMTP, now won't start at all.

During a regular mail retrieval this morning Pegasus reported an interrupted SMTP session.  Then it crashed.


Now it won't start at all, crashing every time it's launched while opening the New Mail.  At least, that's the last status it shows before dying and shutting down again.


I've rebooted to no avail, can anyone suggest a way to sort this out?

Much like the post linked by the post you linked, it was the .CNM file that caused the trouble.  Removing the zero-byte CNM file totally fixed the problem.  Thanks for the tip.

This zero byte file is causing Spamhalter to crash and the OS also takes down Pegasus Mail.  You need to upgrade Spamhalter.
