(Threads 22780 and 25204 do not fit in my case.)

After installing (Xampp and ) Mercury, I frequently receive the message "Interactive Services Detection".

Clicking on "Show message" the whole screen vanishes and a small window  appears with the explanation of "Interactive Services Detection".

With Alt-Tab, I receive the "message" of Mercury: The whole Mercury Control Window containing 11 separate windows for different controls.

It looks to me as if I switched to a different user interface like switching to a different login user.

To get rid of the boaring messages, I could disable the "Interactive Services Detection"; but how opening Mercury's  Control Screen then?

QUESTION:

Is there a way to tell Mercury to open its Control window  other than via the "Interactive Services Detection" ?

This is the result of a new security feature that was introduced in Windows as of Vista. More information about it here:

At the moment you have the choice of running Mercury in application mode or using Interactive Services Detection to view session 0 to access the console window. In the next major release it will be possible to open the control console remotely (not as part of the service), though.
