Version 1.1.3.3 of the S/MIME extension

[quote user="radhx"]I am having problem opening signed emails with double click after installing latest version 1.1.3.3. (previous version was opening the emails wilth valid signatures with double click)

Just a follow-up: I've implemented a workaround for this issue which I cannot really fix as it doesn't happen within the extension itself. It turned out that it existed with previous versions as well but only occurs in rather special situations which are not connected to the (double-click) scenario described above. If anyone needs the most recent version before I make it publicly available please contact me personally.

I've just uploaded an updated version which may be retrieved from the download section, for changes see below: Please post your comments and suggestions to this forum.

Please note that the installer contains new button images (already shown on the extension's manual page) which will only be installed after updating Pegasus Mail to a post-4.53 version, IOW: To get these button images displayed you need to re-run the installer after updating Pegasus Mail.

Changes:

  • The most important ones may be adjustments to the stricter enforcement of user access rights on Windows 7 and Vista for allowing a flawless installation.
  • Some user interface adjustments (regarding button and status bar drawing) to Pegasus Mail's new desktop design have been applied.
  • Accidental sending of messages still being edited due to background forwarding has been disabled.
  • Improper handling of mixed options when signing messages to multiple addresses has been corrected.
  • Decoding will no longer fail after performing a message search.
  • Some issues with AutoList adminstration have been fixed.

Hi Michael,

I can not see the latest 1.1.3.3 version at download section. Where do I download it from?

That section still shows 2009-04-20 version. I tried to download that but I am getting corrupt zip file.

Thanks & Regards,

Rad.

Well, this is the problem with the download section of this forum: It doesn't provide a way to adjust the date, but the download URL always points to the most recent version no matter what date or version number is displayed. I would have to create a new "upload" for changing this, but this would invalidate all URL's throughout the forum and force my to copy/paste the respective text for each language version etc. pp.

With regard to zip corruption: No idea how that happened, I've re-uploaded the files now.

Got it this time, thanks. Will try it out.

You have also mentioned PMail post-4.53 version, but I could not find it anywhere under downloads. Where can I get it?

Regards,

Rad.

There's no public post-4.53 version yet.

If I double click on a signed mail (valid signature or mismatched one), the following error pops up:

This instruction at "0x00479bcb" referenced memory at "0x0000008". The memory could not be "read".

Click on  OK tot terminate the program.

Click on CANCEL to debug the program

On any action taken, PMail crashes / shuts down.

Thanks & Regards,

No such issue here, please install my MiniDump extension and send me a crash dump, you may need to run its "stand-alone" mode, please read the ReadMe-file for details (you can send the reports directly to my address instead of the default beta-reports account). It might be required to send you my latest version (not yet released) for figuring out the issue, it might even be already solved. BTW: Does this occur in preview mode or in a stand-alone folder?
