Images are not shown and links don't work in message-reader

Hi!

Now I have set Load Windows Internet Services (WSOCK32.DLL) ... (on Tools => Options => Advanced settings) to Always and I have changed the browser option (on Tools => Options => Hyperlinks) from Find browser automatically to specifying the path to my Web Browser and I have increased the number of links that Pegasus marks in messages in Tools | Options | Hyperlinks | Highlight a maximum of x hyperlinks and everything seems to be working now.

Best regards, and happy new year!

Henrik

Hi everybody

This is one of the things that really annoy me about Pegasus mail. Very seldomly are images in mails shown. Normally I only have gray areas. I think it has always been like that. And the strangest thing is that recently I looked in the Options (Alt-F10), I found a setting "Display remote linked graphics in messages" It was set to "Automatically if a connection exists", and I kind of set it to that again... and pressed Apply and for a day or 2 I suddently had images in messages, but then they disappeared again.

When I click (or double-click) a link in a message, it sometimes works, but very often NOT.

These are some of the things that - for some years - have made me wonder if I should shift to something else...

I have the newest version (v.4.52) and I use Windows XP Pro (up to date).

Best regards,

Henrik

Hi everybody

This is one of the things that really annoy me about Pegasus mail.[/quote]

And you're asking for what ... ? Without any sample messages nobody can do anything about this ... there may be various reasons for what you're seeing, so please be more specific: Maybe setting Load Windows Internet Services (WSOCK32.DLL) ... (on Tools => Options => Advanced settings) to Always might help with loading remote images, and maybe changing the browser option (on Tools => Options => Hyperlinks) from Find browser automatically to Web Browser commandline (or vice versa depending on your previous setting, never enable Use URLPROXY.EXE, though!) might help with link clicking.

The links that do not work: are they displayed as links (underlined) and are they green or blue? So I'm asking, are they actually clickable or is the issue with the browser not opening?

You could try increasing the number of links that Pegasus marks in plain text messages by increasing the value of the number in Tools | Options | Hyperlinks | Highlight a maximum of x hyperlinks...

You could also try looking at your options for finding a browser. On the same options screen, if finding the browser automatically isn't working, try entering the actual browser link. You'll have to go and find it in the Program Files folder (Internet Explorer is called "iexplore.exe", others should be obvious) but that works for me.

As for your external images problem, are you using several identities? I haven't tested but it might be that the "automatically whenever a connection exists" option can be different with each identity, in which case you will have to change them all. Finally, make sure that the exception list for that option is also blank.

Let us know if any of that helps in any way.
