I recently did a clean re-install of PM 4.5.2 in an attempt to clear up a glitch that I was experiencing. I had been using PMail for quite a few years in the single user mode and so it apparently configured itself as single user each time I updated.
Before doing the re-install, I wanted to be sure and protect my mail folders, so I copied the contents of the MAIL and RmtFiles folders to a separate location on my HD.
When I did the clean re-install, it came up in the multi-user mode. I don't need multi-user, but I it's not a problem if it is.
The problem comes up when I try to restore my original set of folders so that I can access them once again. I tried connecting to them using the 'Add mailbox..' routine, but I just get an error tone after supplying the path to my old folders and a name for the new mailbox.
How can I recover access to my old folders? I have quite a lot of messages I need to get to frequently.Perhaps the solution is to get the program back into single user mode, but I don't know how to do that.
TIA
