can't restore folder structure after upgrading to Windows 7
edit: I'm thinking what has happened is that my FOLSTATE.PM file has been overwritten with a new version that only lists my new mail folder but none of my previous ones. is there any way to reconstruct the file?
My FOLSTATE.PM only contains tray information, it's very unlikely that it has any effect on reading folders. It's more likely HIERARCH.PM and/or CACHE.PM.

Yesterday, I did a fresh install of Windows 7 on a new hard drive. My previous version of Pegasus Mail was ver. 4.52 on WinXP.  My mailbox was set as D:\Mail with new mail going to d:\mail\Admin.  Now after installing ver. 4.61 (in C:\PMAIL) I wanted to simply point again to D:\Mail and continue with my old file & folder structure.  However, things have gotten a little messed up now.  When I open Pegasus, I can see my new mail, but I cannot see any of my folders or the mail stored in them.  For the time being, I have copied everything over to C:\Pmail\mail so everything is duplicated in the default location for now, but I think one (or both) of 2 things got altered. 1) files from the ADMIN folder wound up in MAIL and/or 2) the pmail.ini is wrong.  Of course, it could also be on of the other configuration files or something, that tells Pegasus what the folder structure is and how to display it.  Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

Where does Pegasus Mail expect to find its mailbox files? Go to Help => About Pegasus Mail => Info to figure out the new and home mailbox locations. If this issue only affects your home mailbox (as new mail appears to display properly) you may simply adjust the location via Tools => Options => Mailbox location. This will only apply to the current identity, though.

I have a similar problem, but changing the mailbox location doesnt seem to solve it. I am using XP Pro and recently upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007. When I ran Pegasus after this my mail box was empty, its sub folders gone as were my distrbution lists

etc. The PMAIL directory is still very large so I presume it still has all my stored mail etc., but I cant access it. I tried changing the mailbox location from within Pegasus to a backup copy of PMAIL that I had made a week ago, but still Pegasus doesnt "see" whats in it.

Any advice welcome.
