Date Sort while downloading?

"If you go to a different folder then back to the New Mail, you'll see everything correctly sorted"

You can also just click twice on the Date/Time column header

User has their NewMail folder set to sort by date/time, yet when new POP mail is downloaded, it displays out of date/time order.  The user wants to have new arrivals sorted chronologically as they arrive.  Any way to do that?

On the server side, do POP servers ever give administrators the ability to control the order in which stored mail is sorted in preparation for upload to a POP client?

Thanks,

Peter

What order are they displayed?  Normally, new messages that arrive are put at the top of the list.

Not usually.

A quirk of the Pegasus system. New messages are all placed at the top of the New Mail folder. However, the sequence is, I believe, the order downloaded, not the date order.

If you go to a different folder then back to the New Mail, you'll see everything correctly sorted. As I said, just one of the quirks of Peg.
