When crashes happened, i had not installed IER separately, so it is likely that it is installed with pm installer. It's probably the files in the PM directory.
Sure, it's included with v4.61 by default as announced, and there is no "separate" install, it's always installed by the same installer to the same locations no matter whether run via Pegasus Mail's setup or the stand-alone setup (which is used silently by Pegasus Mail's installer).
Following previous post here, i removed the IER directory, and PM crashed again, but differently.
This is exactly why you should not fiddle around with the setup unless using the uninstaller! People other than the beta-testers (and even not all of these) do not know about the implications of removing or adding arbitrary files! It's not about simply adding or removing a single file ...
So, dll IERenderer v 2.4.0.3 in the IERenderer directory works fine.
I'm sorry, but I have no idea what your setup looks like now and whether it uses IERenderer at all or not. I would call this an undefined state and all I can recommend now is a complete reinstall of Pegasus Mail 4.61 after removing all files and directories containing the word "renderer". If using IE 9 I would also recommend to disable or uninstall IERenderer completely afterwards as I'm seeing reports about various unpredictable troubles under certain conditions (currently unknown and very hard to identify as I cannot duplicate them in my test environments).
And as a final note: Although symptoms may look the same they don't always point to the same issue, IOW: This thread may already mix up different issues, so my comments to one poster may not help the other one in all cases, please be aware of this!
