I solved one problem with the Drag and Drop, The "Display remote linked graphics" in Messages was enabled under Options ---> Incoming ---Msg Reader, this sped up the drag and drop considerably, now the Location Folders is all that is left

About once a week it takes about 10-15 minutes for my folders to load. I have a about 75 folders and I get a message when trying to load that says

"Locating folders"....25.....50 ....75. Nothing has changed on my system not any crashes,...any ideas..Thank you...Tim

Using

Windows XP,v5.SP3

I am still having the same issue with the loading process taking up to 15 minutes as described above. Also when I go to either move an email or delete an email the program thinks about it for a few seconds before performing the action...any ideas. I never had any of these issues in past versions

Unfortunately this isn't enough information for figuring out the reason, so here's a simple guess: What's your setting on Tools => Options => Advanced settings for Load Windows Internet Services? If it's On demand only please change it to Always and restart Pegasus Mail. Next thing to check is whether changing the printer in Pegasus Mail or your default system printer has an effect on this.

I do not see in either of the former user posts in this thread any copy of Help, About, Info display or any reference to POP3 vs IMAP or any mention of any networking or if even single or muliple user mode. It is hard to tell if it is a single user single machine problem or if something beyond  or connection to it is the problem area. Nothing so far to even state how connected to the mail server or if dialup or cable or whatever.

The Help output should show us the commandline used at least and new mail location.

Are your folders on the same computer you're using? POP or IMAP? Number of messages in them?

We need a bit of technical info about how you are set up.

Have been using "Always" and printer is not making any difference. This is a single machine using POP. Folders have anywhere from 5- 1574 msgs in them. some of them I never open there just old but want to keep them

You don't have your mailbox on an external storage device or using public folders?

No sir, I am using Windows XP ver 5.1 Service Pac 3 on a Dell Tower,  with 2 gig Ram. Using POP3 single user Storage is local and no public folders. I guess the question is what triggers the program to "Start  Locating folders"  on start up. also what would cause a noticeable delay using  "drag and drop"  of messages. The start up thing happened today again. I did delete about 30 mb of photo attachments out of one of my folders...   doooh

It always does so on start-up but you usually don't notice as it happens fast enough. Maybe your AV scanner is interfering? Maybe this happens only after updating its signatures?

With some AV like AVG free the check, depending on settings, is not the same each time. Sometimes files are cached and sometime there is quick scan at other seemingly random times a full  in depths scan is done and the time difference is more than 10x the normal required time.
