2. Yes, Avira Premium, as always! But I tried with a virtual machine XP based (my computer has Vista x64) without real time AV scanner and the problem remains! 

I updated to 4.61 form 4.51 (4.52 had some problems with Vista and I was suggested to not update)... crash at start, solved with IERender update! But now I have another (big) problem: some messages are missing! In fact, in some folder, I can see only the emails until 2008, but I have some messages which are newer! If I reinstall Pegasus 4.51, they appear again! I already tried with check consistency and with reindex folder, but nothing!

Any idea?

P.S. Well, it is missing a IMAP profile too, but this is not a great problem!

Edit: I had a folder, Copies to self, with messagges newer than 2008 viewable... after a Reindex Folder they are missing too!

Already tried, but with no results!

But my problem is not I cannot see my "Copies to self" folder (with some other), but I cannot see a lot of messages, in particular the one after Jun 2008 in a great number of folder, so, but it is only an example, my "Copes to self" folder has 62 messages, but the should be more than 400 (as it is if I reinstall Pegasus 4.51 and reindex it... now, if I install 4.61, I see every 400+ messages, until I reindex the folder: at this point there are only 62 mail again)!

If I understand correctly everything is intact in your v4.51 installation.

If that is so you should back that up and then you can experiment by copying a folder from the backup directly into the v4.61 installation to see if it contains all messages.

Keep in mind that there are two files per folder, PMM and PMI.

I did other tests:

1. Now it look like I cannot have Copies to self working either with 4.51: if I use reindex command, I lost a lot of mail! So I thought to move every mail in that folder to a new one... at this point, Pegasus says there are some consistency problem with copyself.pmm (but it did not say anything when I used Check consistency command, boh);
2. for the other folder I solved as described at point 1, but not for "Copies to self": now, in fact, I can see my sent mail until I use Reindex command. At this point, the shown mails number doesn't change (if they are 1200 before, after using reindex they are still 1200), but a lot of mail are not viewable! I explain better this point: the dates are modified to June 2008 for a lot of mail, subjects are modified to the same for every mail, "To:" and "From:" and other fields are something like "??????" and there is no preview (well, the mail body has no text)!
