Lost my MAIN folder
In my case I specified the location of home mailbox (in preference and setting), to be g:\private\mail\.  When I checked this directory right after the crash, the MAIN.PMM was gone (I am not sure about the MAIN.PMI or MAIN.PMT.
If the MAIN.PMI file still exists delete it, if this doesn't help go to Pegasus Mail's program directory (the one containing WINPM-32.EXE) and run MBXMAINT_UI.EXE on MAIN.PMM (repair).

While sorting and deleting messages I got a "serious error" message. I closed Pmail and when started again, my MAIN folder was gone.

Went and found a back up of MAIN.PMI and MAIN.PMM from yesterday and put the two files back to the mail directory. But when a start pmail again, I still don't find the MAIN folder. Please help.
I did delete the file HIERARCH.PM before restarting pmail again, but it didn't help.

Are you sure you put the MAIN files in the correct folder?

For multi user it should be in C:\PMAIL\MAIL\(your username) folder.

Sorry, I'm not sure what folder it should be for single user mode.

Cheers.

Rod.

In my case I specified the location of home mailbox (in preference and setting), to be g:\private\mail\.  When I checked this directory right after the crash, the MAIN.PMM was gone (I am not sure about the MAIN.PMI or MAIN.PMT. I think that one of them was there. Anyway, I went to my backup and got these files from the previous day backup. But after I put them in my mail directory, I still don't find the MAIN directory in my folders list.
Any advice? I am quite desperate. Thanks, Nachum
