I've told Pegasus to put deleted messages in the 'Deleted' folder, which it does. But whenever I close Peg the folder is emptied and deleted itself. It's created automagically again whenever a message is deleted in a new session. I've trolled through all of what I consider appropriate settings and can't find a place where I can specify that the 'Deleted' folder, the little green garbage can, can be preserved.

See Tools > Options > Advanced Settings. Be sure that " 'Deleted messages' folder persists between sessions" is checked
