How to properly configure Mercury in LAN environment?

Why not use Mercury help (or check the PDF manual) instead of searching the Internet, it's more efficient! ;)

First make sure the local domains part of Core configuration is correct. If users should be allowed to send messages to non-local recipients you should add the IP range of the LAN in MercuryS configuration, Connection control and allow relaying for that range. Verify that the ports for the email protocols you use (SMTP, POP3, IMAP...) are not blocked by firewall software on the server.

If you still can't get it to work please post your mercury.ini file here so we can check it!

Hello all,

I am very new to Mercury Mail and server technolog (i am a hard-learning noob however [:)] ), and the problem i have is kind of newbie. After installing the Mercury in my server, how should i configure it to allow all users within the network (LAN) to access the server. The IP address range is from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254, and the local domain url is: "http://intranet.tis.local" (where the home page of the site is viewed).

I have done 4 days of research over the internet, but sadly still can't find a solution to this problem. Could anyone provide me with a guide of configuration suitable to my LAN environment, please? Your help is greatly appreciated!

You will have to tell us how you want to use your server - in particular whether you are receiving mail from the internet, directly or from POP boxes; how your users are reading mail (POP or IMAP); how you are sending mail both internally and externally.  For internet mail, you will need an internet-reachable domain - not the one you use internally.

After we get your replies we will be able to help you configure the server.
