Question about Hierarchies in PM
Well I'm sure some testing would have helped here since it's not a big deal to just create some empty trays and folders for testing?
I get your point. However, some things that may not be "a big deal" to you may certainly be a big deal to others. Sorry for the confusion. Have a good day.

There may be a discussion on this elsewhere, but how do I

create folder hierarchies?

For example, under “Main Folder”, I would like to list my

Identity names (I have 8).

Then I would like to have folders with certain peoples’

names (John Doe, Sam Jones, Sally Smith etc.)

Then a folder called “Various” and, under that, folders with

names of certain sites that I send/receive email from/to (ABC company, ISP,

Banking, etc.).

Is that possible in PM?

I can do that in Thunderbird.

Thanks.

I have downloaded manual.pdf.  Since I did not see specific information for my inquiry, I thought I would seek assistance from more experienced users on this forum. Maybe I overlooked it, though.

Thanks.

Quote from chapter 5: Reading and filing your mail:

Pegasus Mail allows you to organize your folders in a hierarchy – that is, to have folders
within folders. To achieve this, it supports two kinds of folders: standard message folders,
which contain messages, and trays which contain other folders. A tray can contain standard
mail folders or other trays and there is no limit to depth to which you can "nest" in this man-
ner. Trays are like subdirectories under Windows Explorer - they contain folders (like files)
and other trays (like subdirectories) but cannot themselves contain messages – only folders
can contain messages.

Thanks. I read that. However, it was not specific enough and did not explain the details on how to achieve the end result.,.at least for me. Hence, my reason for asking the question on this forum.

Well I'm sure some testing would have helped here since it's not a big deal to just create some empty trays and folders for testing?
