It turns out that it's actually broken HTML (using CSS-style color values for plain HTML attributes, Opera and IE display it the same way, only Firefox doesn't care): While I could implement a fix for this it might open a can of worms since this kind of issue might occur in multiple locations. I would prefer the "ZuckMail" providers to fix this (after all it's only version 1.00) unless many people continue to encounter this as well in the near future.

Updated to the new IERenderer (2.4.4.2) yesterday and notice that Facebook
message mails are now coming in with black backgrounds. Text is also
black, so they are unreadable unless they are highlighted.

Taking off IERenderer restores them to a normal appearance.

This does not happen to Facebook emails I get advising me of replies to posts
I might have made. It affects exclusively the private 'message' mails that now
contain a lot of the conversation from a message thread with an individual. It worked
fine yesterday prior to update.

Why would this be happening, does anyone know?

Incidentally, when I check the version of IERenderer it tells me there is a more up to date version to download but

upon downloading and installing it is the same one.

May I please get a sample message (preferably as zipped CNM file from your new mail directory, see Help => About Pegasus Mail => Info => New mailbox path for it's location and right click the message in Pegasus Mail's new mail folder to select the Message properties screen providing the filename to zip? IERenderer's About dialog provides a Contact link for sending a message.
