Delivery Failure Address

There is no setting to change that, but as daemons can change the SMTP envelope it would be possible to do it with a daemon. It's not advisable, though. RFC 2821 clearly suggests to use a blank MAIL FROM for non-delivery notifications:

This notification message must be from the SMTP server at the relay host or the host that first determines that delivery cannot be accomplished. Of course, SMTP servers MUST NOT send notification messages about problems transporting notification messages. One way to prevent loops in error reporting is to specify a null reverse-path in the MAIL command of a notification message. When such a message is transmitted the reverse-path MUST be set to null (see section

4.5.5 for additional discussion). A MAIL command with a null

reverse-path appears as follows:

MAIL FROM:<>

Hi,

I just have a small problem with Delivery Failures. If an email is received and the recipient is Unknown, the Delivery Failure notification doesn't get sent and loops. I've noticed that FROM is blank. However I am able to get a copy of notification from the postmaster. Also, everything else is working fine. I can receive and send emails. I m using MercuryS, P, and C. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

MAIL FROM for non-delivery notifications are expected to be blank in the SMTP envelope (to avoid loops).

The log excerpt indicates that a notification was sent to myemail@yahoo.com. Check MercuryC logs to see what happened in case it never was received.

Postmaster will receive a copy of error notifications if "Send copies of all errors to the postmaster" is checked in Core configuration / General.

Is there any way to make MAIL FROM for non-delivery notification to be <postmaster@mydomain.com> instead of blank ?
