Pegasus crashes after install SP! Win 7 & Expl 9

What you outlined is exactly the solution to the problem...ie upgrade IERenderer making sure to accept the default location so that the files from the unzipped exe file go to C:\PMAIL.  Thank you very much for your help!

Just finished rather long process of installing Win 7 Service Pack 1 and Explorer 9.  Upon starting Pegasus 4.6, I got the already open,,,choose exit or continue warning.  I chose continue, Pegasus opened, but preview mode was turned off.  Clicked on menu item 'Folders" and then checked preview mode....Pegasus crashed.  Tried it again except attempted to open the top message in New Messages....Pegasus crashed.

Next I reinstalled Pegasus 4,6 (did not look for any updates)....exact same result as before.

Would it help if I could find and reset the flag that tells it someone else is using Pegasus ?

Anyone else having similar problems or know a solution?

1.  Do not install PMail to C:\program files, accept the default of c:\pmail.

2.  Pegasus Mail  V4.61 was tested with the pre-release version of IE9 that MS provided so that developers would be ready for this new browser.  Of course this version was changed by MS for the actual release which pretty much broke all other developers software depending on IE9 functions like the new IERenderer.

When using IE9 you need to upgrade to the latest version of IERenderer of the software.  Use the Pegasus Mail icon on the toolbar and select About | Download current version to upgrade.
