In older versions, there was a selection in the "file" menu to "change user." I have several email addresses with which I use Pegasus, and, now, instead of switching to be a different "user" within pmail, it seems that I have to quit and restart. Is there a way to set up pmail so I can switch among email addresses without exiting the program?

The File | Change user was removed since it caused Pegasus Mail to crash in many instances.  The best way to perform this function now is to run separate instances of Pegasus Mail.

1.  Right click on the WinPMail shortcut and select "Properties".

2.  Select the "Shortcut" tab.

3.  Edit the "Target line" to add the commandline option.

A commandline option will generally look like the following:

c:\pmail\winpm-32.exe -i thomas -ms

or when using long directory names

"c:\Program Files\pmail\winpm-32.exe" -i thomas -ms

You create a shortcut for each user you use quite often and one without the -I <username>.  Now all you have to do is hit the proper shortcut to have any user you want opened and running.

You can also just use "Add mailbox to list" to point at these other accounts and then associate an identity with each folder in the accounts so that forwards and replies will come from the correct user.

Thanks for the suggestions. If I want to try the "add mailbox to list" method, where do I find that in the menus? I haven't found it so far....

 TIA

Open the folder and look to the top level menu line next to 'Tools' for the menu 'Folders'.  It's the first item in that menu.
