Edit addressbook entry

[quote user="weamish"]

Thanks Jim!  Is there some reason we need to reindex the address book in order to edit an entry, or is that a bug?  ...Steve

Not really sure, Steve. Perhaps one of the folks closer to the developer(s) could answer that.

Using 4.61.  Entry > Edit Selected Entry > Change Name (alias) > Click OK.  Name is changed.  Go to New Mail folder, then back to Addressbook.  The change I just made has been undone, it's back to the original name.  The only way I can permanently change the name is to delete the entry, then add it back.  ???  Thanks!

Steve,

When I tried to duplicate your experience, I was able to do so quite easily. I found that if I re-indexed the address book after making the edits to an entry and before closing the address book, I could get the edits to 'stick'.

You will find the 'Reindex addressbook' command after clicking on the "Book" button on the address book's toolbar.
