Greetings,

Two weeks ago I built a new box now running Win7 64  and all was good until last night when Explorer and several Win updates were installed. Pegasus starts but any action results in a crash with the following error dump:

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:    APPCRASH
  Application Name:    winpm-32.exe
  Application Version:    4.6.1.0
  Application Timestamp:    4d532c43
  Fault Module Name:    KERNELBASE.dll
  Fault Module Version:    6.1.7601.17651
  Fault Module Timestamp:    4e211319
  Exception Code:    0eedfade
  Exception Offset:    0000b9bc
  OS Version:    6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
  Locale ID:    1033
  Additional Information 1:    ba4b
  Additional Information 2:    ba4b1442f3e273fdd45b6d8efc3aa742
  Additional Information 3:    525f
  Additional Information 4:    525f66ea5c01a82546298f17da36479e

UPDATED INFORMATION:

I've noticed that with the Message Preview Mode disabled, I can manipulate directories and delete files etc.

When the  Preview Mode is enabled (under folders) Pegasus immediately crashes.

Is there a solution to having Pegasus run in this environment?

 Appreciate any input.

Thanks

It was allowing windows update to install IE9 that did you in. In order to *fix* install and run the latest IERenderer from community site and then run ierenderer.exe and follow the prompts.

Thanks, I'll apply the "fix" tonight. Because it was a new system, I foolishly thought that any and all Win updates were "healthy" for my system.

BTW, a search of this forum for "Win7 & 64 OS crash" did not shed light on my predicament.

Thanks again for a quick reply.

Unfortunately the forum search isn't very helpful with more complex searches, a simple crash search would have revealed lots of fitting results.
