Migration of homedirs from netWare to OES-L sloooow delivery of mails

Hmm ... if there are replicas of NDS on that server or not should not make any sense.

Netware should have NSS or TFS as filesystem. Which filesystem did you choose for OES2? Maybe the problem is in behaviour of filesystem, if it is linuxlike.

Hi,

we recently migrated our Homes from netWare to OES-L (OES2SP2). Now we are experiencing a certain slowness in delivery of mails. Mercury seems to deliver the mail but it lasts for up to 30 minutes until the mail can be seen in the homedirectory of the client. Mercury (1.48) is running on a NetWare server without replicas. When we migrate the volume back to NetWare (a mixed cluster it is..) everything is fine again.

There is also an error message: Warning: stat failure 1 with each delivery but the mails are delivered to the recipients if you wait long enough.

Any ideas where to look? Something to do with the [Root] rights assigned to the pmail-directory to deliver the mail? (but it works so the rights are there??)
